Why I Do Not Bill Insurance
My work is spiritually integrated, trauma‑informed, and relationally grounded. Because it does not fit neatly into the medical model used by insurance companies, I do not bill insurance directly. This allows us to focus on your healing — not diagnostic labels, session limits, or insurance requirements.
Why My Rate Is Set at €60
Although I do not accept insurance, I want my fees to remain consistent with what many insured clients already pay out of pocket. Plans such as TRICARE Select, Aetna International, and AFSPA often require copays or cost‑shares in the €50–€70 range. Setting my rate at €60 keeps counseling:
• Fair — aligned with typical insured cost‑share
• Simple — no billing, no codes, no surprises
• Accessible — predictable and transparent
Working outside the insurance system allows us to focus on your healing rather than medical labels or administrative requirements.
Your session time is reserved for you. If it is necessary to change or cancel your appointment, please let me know as soon as possible. There is no charge for appointments canceled 24 hours in advance of the scheduled time. A full session fee will be charged for missed appointments and cancellations received less than 24 hours in advance.
Counseling is right for you if you’re carrying something you can’t seem to sort through on your own anymore. That might look like anxiety that won’t quiet down, patterns you can’t break, a relationship that feels stuck, or the weight of a story you’ve never fully told. You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from counseling — you just need a sense that something in your life, your relationships, or your inner world isn’t working the way you want it to.
People often come to me when they’re tired of feeling alone with their struggle and want a steady, non‑judgmental place to slow down, make sense of what’s happening inside, and move toward a healthier way of living. If you’re wondering whether counseling might help, that’s usually a sign you’re ready for the next step.
The number of sessions really depends on what you’re working through and what you hope to get out of counseling. I offer both short‑term and long‑term work, and we can shape the pace to fit your needs.
For focused or acute issues, short‑term counseling — usually around 6 to 12 sessions — is often enough. Some people feel ready to move on after just a handful of sessions, while others choose to continue for several months or longer. Many clients find that once they begin the process, they want to explore deeper layers or address areas they hadn’t initially considered. If that happens, we simply keep going at a pace that feels right for you.
There’s no pressure or expectation. After each session, I’ll check in with you about how you’re feeling, whether you’d like to book another appointment, or whether you want to pause or continue on your own for a while. The goal is to support you in a way that feels sustainable and meaningful.
Most people begin with weekly sessions. Meeting weekly helps build momentum, keeps the work connected from one session to the next, and gives you enough support as you start making changes. In some situations, bi‑weekly sessions can work as well, especially once you’ve gained some stability.
As you progress, it’s common to shift to fortnightly sessions. Having more space between appointments can give you the chance to practice new skills, notice how you’re doing on your own, and build confidence as you move toward the end of the counseling process.
Ultimately, the frequency is up to you. We’ll check in regularly about how the pace feels and adjust it so the rhythm of counseling supports you rather than overwhelms you.
Yes. All of my sessions are offered online. This allows you to meet from the comfort and privacy of your own home, without the stress of travel or scheduling around distance. Many people find that online counseling helps them settle in more quickly and speak more openly, and it also gives us the flexibility to meet even if you’re traveling or have a busy week.
As long as you have a quiet space and a stable internet connection, online sessions work just as effectively as in‑person meetings. If you’re unsure whether online counseling will feel right for you, we can try a session together and see how it fits.
Counseling and coaching can look similar from the outside, but they serve different purposes.
Counseling focuses on understanding your inner world — your emotions, patterns, wounds, and the stories that have shaped you. It’s often about healing, gaining clarity, and working through things that feel heavy or unresolved. Counseling moves at the pace your nervous system can handle and gives you space to explore what’s beneath the surface.
Coaching, on the other hand, is more future‑focused and goal‑oriented. It’s about helping you move toward something — a change you want to make, a habit you want to build, or a direction you want to grow in. Coaching tends to be more structured and action‑driven, with an emphasis on accountability and forward momentum.
Both can be deeply transformative, but in different ways.
Counseling helps you understand and heal what’s going on inside.
Coaching helps you take intentional steps toward where you want to go.
If you’re unsure which one fits your situation, we can talk it through together and choose the approach that best supports you.
